CymSTAR’s real-time simulation executive framework, CymHOST, and its accompanying utilities are deployed on multiple training devices within the U.S. DOD inventory. CymHOST is designed to run on an open-source Linux operating system with a real-time Linux kernel.
Our Host Computer solution offers utilities for real-time debugging, hardware calibrations, configuration management, simulator operation and several other product enhancement tools.
CymSTAR’s real-time I/O system, CymIO, delivers a robust interface between CymHOST and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) I/O products from industry suppliers. CymIO allows the configuration of the analog and the discrete I/O required by each unique trainer in which it is integrated. CymIO is open source and built to be modular.
CymSTAR’s real-time automated test suite, CymTEST, allows device maintainers to validate simulator performance versus aircraft data to meet Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and/or military standards.
CymTEST runs Qualification Test Guide (QTG) validation tests in real time and captures the results for offline reporting. CymTEST tools convert flight test data, edit validation test parameters and produce an electronic QTG.
CymSTAR’s Distributed Missions software, CymDIS, is an application for publishing and processing protocol data units (PDUs) in compliance with the latest Simulation Interoperability Standards Organization (SISO) distributed interactive simulation (DIS) standard.
Dead reckoning algorithms and position/orientation smoothing calculations within CymDIS ensure the spatial representation of other simulators in a mission are visually realistic. Radio communications protocols are also integrated into CymDIS.
