Matthew T. “Monty” Fritz joined CymSTAR as the Director of Business Development for Air and Space Force Programs in June 2024.
Monty is a dynamic and results-oriented leader who leverages over 30 years of defense and aerospace experience to help his partners succeed across their program portfolios. His extensive background in both military and aerospace industry senior leadership roles positions him as a key driver of strategic growth and innovation at CymSTAR.
Monty retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Colonel in 2020 after 26 years of distinguished service. His military career included roles in program management, operational and developmental flight test, and leadership as a Squadron and Vice Wing Commander. Monty is a Command Pilot with over 2,600 flight hours in military aircraft, including the KC-46, KC-135, C-17, C-130, and CV-22, and a Commercial Instrument-rated civilian jet pilot. He has deployed 11 times, serving in air and ground combat leadership roles in Iraq and Afghanistan, where he was awarded the Bronze Star for his service.
Following his military career, Monty joined Boeing Defense, Space & Security, where he excelled as a Field Marketing Lead and later as the Director of Business Development for Boeing Global Services. In these roles, he captured over $9.9 billion in Air Force orders and directed strategic initiatives that led to significant revenue growth and market expansion.
Monty holds an MBA from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Master of Science in Strategic Leadership from the Air Force Institute of Technology. He lives in the Greater St. Louis Area with his wife, Stacy. They have two children: a daughter who is an officer in the U.S. Space Force and a son studying at Purdue University.
