Jay Treat was appointed Chief Engineer for CymSTAR in July 2018. In this capacity, Jay produces technical approaches and top-level designs for programs and proposals, supports business development efforts, acts as a staff liaison and occasionally works directly on programs.
Jay joined CymSTAR in November 2003 as an engineer in support of the newly established company by writing proposals and working with customers to win and deliver some of the earliest jobs performed by the company.
Jay started his career as an electrical engineer and followed with many years in software development resulting in broad work experiences. These include software modeling, system-level interfaces, embedded software, and related tasks that involve software-hardware communication. Jay has also served as an ATS Program Engineer and as a lead technical engineer on numerous efforts.
Before working at CymSTAR, Jay worked in the simulation industry for Thales Training and Simulation and for Burtek.
Jay holds a BSEE from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.
Jay, his wife, Amy, and their daughters, Zoe and Isabella, enjoy life on 13 rural acres north of Tulsa. We all enjoy our dogs, hiking, wildlife, and the outdoors in general when time permits.
