CymSTAR LLC Awarded the C-5 Aircrew Training System 〈ATS〉 Task Order for the USAF

Broken Arrow, Oklahoma (11 September 2017) − On September 11, 2017, the Air Force (Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) awarded CymSTAR LLC the C-5 Aircrew Training Systems (ATS) contract under the Training Systems Acquisition (TSA) III Indefinite Delivery/ Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ. The C-5 Galaxy is the USAF’s largest military transport aircraft, providing global strategic airlift capability for the Department of Defense. The C-5 ATS program is managed by AFLCMC‘s Agile Combat Support Directorate Simulators Division at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. The C-5 ATS mission is to provide thoroughly trained aircrews for worldwide C-5 operations and deployment.

Under this contract, CymSTAR will perform comprehensive operations, maintenance, and sustainment services at four locations in the U.S. to include the following:

  • Program Management/Systems Engineering;
  • Training Device Upgrades and Modifications;
  • Training System Support, including courseware development and sustainment, Cybersecurity support, concurrency management and hardware/software modifications;
  • On-Site Training Device Logistics Support;
  • Instructional Services; and
  • Qualification and Test.

As a Service Disabled Veteran Owned small business prime contractor, CymSTAR is currently executing the C-5 Maintenance and Aircrew Training System (MATS) contract. The award of this new C-5 ATS contract to CymSTAR, consolidates all 44 C-5 aircrew and maintenance training devices under two separate contracts to one small business prime contractor.  This demonstrates the confidence the USAF has in small business to perform the full scope of weapon system training requirements and fully prepare USAF C-5 aircrew and maintenance technicians to execute the C-5 Galaxy strategic airlift missions.
