CymSTAR produces new training systems including Flight Training Devices (FTD), Maintenance Trainers (MT), and various types of other Part Task Trainers (PTT). Our staff possesses the requisite management, technical, production, and test expertise and experience necessary for the design and development of high quality training equipment.

Our focus is to provide customers with robust but easy to maintain training equipment based primarily on commercial off the shelf (COTS) components. This not only reduces procurement costs and risks, but also reduces equipment life cycle costs. COTS products also minimize proprietary design considerations on future modifications. CymSTAR remains on the leading edge of simulation technologies by continually monitoring the evolutions of various commercial products, such as interface electronics, computer platforms, operating systems, and programming environments.

CymSTAR applies an ISO 9001:2000 compliant quality design process to its development of new trainers. Each basic process and procedure is periodically assessed to ensure it adds value, in terms of CymSTAR's competitiveness, product quality, and on-time delivery. Those that don't measure up are either discarded or incrementally modified to achieve desired results. However, CymSTAR's basic process and procedures are generic by nature, and can be easily tailored to comply with a particular customer's design requirements.

Our staff work in small teams on each program. CymSTAR's business paradigm is based on delegating authority and most decision making to these teams, while rewarding and holding the team accountable for results. Consequently, the success of each team is dependent upon the contributions of its members, and each member is interdependent upon his peers for overall success.
